I was looking into getting a G. Loomis GL3 9 ft 5 wt. I casted one and liked it a lot. I went to Sportsman's Warehouse in Vancouver to look around and they had a bundle of GL3 rods for sale for $180 a piece! I asked if there was anything wrong with them and the manager said that they were just on closeout because of too much inventory. I bought a #5 and a #7(always wanted to try steelhead on a fly)! Almost had to take out a mortgage to pay for the 3 rods with reels, extra spools and lines though.

GL3 is the first "good" rod I bought and I still use it quite a bit. It is my main dry fly rod (4wt). Really light and good rod. Congrats on finding a deal.
