Default Depoe Bay update

Well just a quick update on Depoe Bay conditions. At this point, it is sunny, warm, and no wind. The ocean is nice, and I'm wishing I was ready to go to tuna town today!!

As for the Sea Jypzee, got the VHF and CB all hooked up and alive. Still have to do the Radar dome, and get the GPS up and going.

Picked up someones old docking line coming into the harbor yesterday, around one of the prop shafts. Had a diver down today and got that one cleared. Port Carb appears to be working well atm, so maybe it was just a stuck float. Time will tell.

I MAY have the boat up and going for a coho/bottom fishing run on thursday.....if all goes well with that trip, and no new bugs, may go ahead and shoot for tuna town on fri/sat/sun.

I especially like that "no air moving around" part. We don't say W---W---Wi--- See, can't say it. It's a 4-letter word.

Hopefully, we'll see ya on Wednesday!

This still seems a little to good to be true, single, loves to fish, and a 30' boat moored in Depoe Bay

Hi Sea Jypsee I was wondering did the wind pick back up late in the day or this morning? Me and love2fish were going to head down for a Wed. morning Newport launch and try to get some salmon and bottom fish but I'm a little worried about the wind waves in the forcast and just trying to pick some brains to see if the wind is picking up more mid morning or the afternoon or if its a all night thing?

Martin - Honestly right now, I'm not sure, as I'm in Portland this morning for a couple of appointments. Heading back down that way later on. Quite often, it's calm in the mornings, and then picks up later in the day. Yesterday it was overcast and cool early am, then the marine layer broke open and the sun came out. Was a very nice day yesterday with calm seas all around the area.

The best advice I can give you is to call the Depoe Bay Coast Guard (541-765-2123), or just hit the DB Bar report at (541-765-2122). That can at least get you the immediate local conditions and the forcast.

I'm affraid I'm stuck at work all week! This honestly is the most I've ever been depressed about a job.
This is probably a topic for Life In General but I feel like I can relate to you guys better. I hate my job so much that I've even thought of walking out the door and never turning back, but I realize I can't do that. This is only the second job I've had in 15 years of working and the first one that's been structured and firm. I wish I could go on but my break is over.
So, Jen to answer your question no. At rhe earliest it would be Fri.
