Default Northern California tuna info?

I'm thinking of going down to Northern Cal. later in the season for tuna. This would be a new experience, and have no idea about anything. I can't seem to find a whole lot of info about Northern California boat ramps, difficulty of bar crossings, places to fish, and such. Any links or info would be greatly appreciated.

Default Re: Northern California tuna info?

I can speak for northern California in Del Norte and Humbolt counties. Crescent City has a very good ramp and no bar to cross. Straight out of the harbor and into the ocean. Humbolt Bay has a good ramp as well, but you do have to cross a bar. They also sell live bait there if you have a tank and want to try your Steelhead tackle for some fun. Check the website below. It's for the Bat Area Tuna Club. It covers every launch ramp and harbor in California and they post the latest info on what ever they are catching and they give the numbers where the Tuna are at.

If you want to try Brookings/Crescent City, let me know. We can buddy up and see what happens.
