Yes just announced plans to tour without founding member Jon Anderson. Jon was stricken with acute respiratory failure back in the summer which ended the 40th anniversary world tour including a stop here in Portland. Anyhow they found a guy on YouTube none the less and got him to sign on for the eastern US and Canada.

While he does a pretty good knock off of young Jon, he's far from the man. I'm very disappointed in one of my own bass guitar heroes Chris Squire (the only other founding member with ownership rights to the band - don't get me started on that one). Jon nearly died and all he can think about is getting the band on the road. During his illness Jon has been writing and working on stage designs with Roger Dean for what he thought would be a 2009 rendition of the missed tour. Jon's Blogs are very troubling and with Rick's exit and his son's entrance (there is another odd twist I have not read yet) I for one won't be supporting this tour - good luck guys from the Band Not Yes!
I grew up listening to these guys lamented through the 80's as they went through this same immature BS. Now as AARP members they do it again. I've seen them so many times live and in various solo performances I can't even remember them all (well I can't remember my daughters 1st grade teacher either so I guess that plan worked - don't ask). Heck Juicyfruit's first rock concert was seeing Jon Anderson solo - if she could only grasp. I was ok with all this till I read Jon's blog - now I'm just done!
Off to find my old Olias of Sunhillow cd
"Sound out the galleon to travel to cross
close the space between pastures
as rightly attained.
As old stands to plunder
expectant as one dear companion can utter
the right we achieve."
Write on my friend - write on - some of us will still listen
