Default Salmon out of Depoe Bay

I was thinking of taking my next salmon adventure out of Depoe Bay (I usually go out of Newport) Any help as to where to target would be appreciated. I understand they are fairly close in and there are a lot of chinook in the mix. F.A.? Thanks for the help...I will probably go Monday or Tuesday.
WP, who loves salmons!

Sorry for the late reply ... I was off on a fishing trip to Depoe Bay!

OK, first of all swampy is correct. It Seems like everything you could
possibly want to catch (with the exception of Halibut, and who'd want to catch
one of them slimey critters, anyway?) live due West of Depoe Bay. Bottom fish are
right next to the bouys, Silvers start between the 1st and second bouy, and Chinook are
out past the second bouy (for the most part). The bulk of the salmon seem to be between
200 and 300 right now. A real good mix of chinook in with the silvers ... all being
caught using divers!!

And let us not forget TUNA!! Go West, young man!! About 20-50 miles West! 'Course,
With the wind blowing like it has for the last four days, ain't nobody wants to be
out there, anyway. I had the pleasure(?) of sitting on the beach for 3 days (Friday -
Sunday) because of the wind. It screamed NW for two days and then turned SW Sunday
with no lay-down day in between. Oh well, I got that cracked window in my boat replaced.
anyway!

Depoe is my normal port, we usually go straight out 2-3 mi. we start hitting fish about the 180'
then troll n.nw. good mix of nooks and silvers.
nooks on downriggers or 6-8 pulls with a diver.
silvers at about 12-16 pulls.
heering,whole,plugged,and with a hoochie.

FA,

I am wondering what you use to target Chinook - hoochies, spoons, herring? Up high right now, or down low? Is it possible to spot the fish on your Finder, or just the bait?

Thanks!
