some other info would help...where were they found....lawn...in clusters or singles?
bark near by? growing under trees...what kind of trees.

Can you get a pic of the location and or up close?

I am looking at my books now....with such a small amount ingested in could be just a case of stomach cramps or no problems at all.

the above info does help narrow down the guessing....

They kinda look like deer or fairy ring mushrooms(there are multiple species listed under this name)...both appear to be edible and resemble the cap, gills, color, and stem in your pic as best I can tell.
I am not a professional, just a casual forest picker.

I am no doctor or expert Identifier. she will have to watch her child as suggested.

Hopefully they are just 1 of the many thousands out there that are indeed edible but not wide sought out as they have no flavor or body worth spending time on.

There is also a catorgory called "LBM's" little brown mushrooms....and thousands fall into this catorgory, and there are just to many to try and list....you would need spore samples and other criteria.

I am pretty sure, that the "mushroom kid" will be just fine

I would call poision control and ask them or call the ER and ask to talk to a nurse.. some hospitlas have ask the nurse line.. the problem with some of the posionous mushrooms is they attack the kidneys and liver so it might not show for a while and then i can be too late... i could go down and ask the ER doctor in our ER if you get back to me...

If the mother is concerned she NEEDS to call a nurse hotline, or take the kid to the doctor.

It appears she did just that...they advised her to watch the child closely as indicated in the first post.

I hope all is well and he shows no signs....very scary indeed.

The kid really should see a physician. Problems can develop which are not immediately visible. A physician might want to draw blood and get lab work done just to ensure that the organs retain normal function.

This would scare the death right into me as a parent.
Personally, I'm not sure I'd settle for "Fortunately, MOST....."

Glad to hear the child is well. Any other time we can't get them to eat their vegetables

Now check to see if the child has a burning desire to want to listen to some Jummy Hendrix
