Default Sorry for the confusion....

Well regarding Thursdays tuna report I posted.

Person A continues to insist that the report is true and that the numbers he gave me to post are real. He says that he doesn't want to be identified or fess up for what could be very valid concerns that have nothing to do with Ifish. Because of the personal relationship I have with this person I have to respect that. I explained why this is in more detail to Jennie.

Person B continues to insist that person A (and friends) are/were yanking my chain.

As it seems that Marty got into some fish at or near those same numbers and person A is going to drop some fresh fish at my house I now think person B is actually the one who is/was yanking my chain.

My sincere apologies to "person A" and the rest of the Salty Dogs for the confusion and bent feelings that this may have caused.

I wish I could tell you more, but believe me that I am between a rock and a hard place on this one.

UG

If anyone wants the GPS numbers will repost or email them to you with the understanding that it is a 'second hand, unconfirmed' report.

UG - I'm sorry you got caught up in this mess.

I feel responsible for perpetuating "tuna frenzy" on this board. We're all very excited about the coming season.

UG, I back you as well. False reports happen, and if anyone thinks this is the first, I bet they are wronge, and it was unintentional on your part. Besides, those who followed your phantom fish scored. Tight lines and bloody decks.

Well, once again, I am very sorry for the confusion. And part of it was my fault.

The initial report, as it turns out, was true. I have proof in the form of fresh fish at my house.

Well mostly true anyway. The fish were caught as described, and the GPS numbers given were good, but I changed (made up) the name of the person it came from at their request.

Guess I won't do that again. If I could go back I would have just said it was a "unconfirmed, second hand" report, and left it at that.
