I thought it might be appropriate time to review some basics. check HERE. The power squadron and CG Auxillary both offer excellent training for a relatively inexpensive cost. For the price of a marine stereo you can learn how to navigate and safely operate your vessel. You're never too old or too smart to learn something.

While crossing the Bar in Newport I surfed off the front off a wave and swamped my Zodiac boat.
:shocked: [img]graemlins/1zhelp.gif[/img] Luckily I found refuge right next to the jetty in a calm spot. The Zodiac boat self bailed in 3 minutes. We tucked our tails and ran in thinking we were very lucky. Scheeewwww

Great advice to which I already follow. Nice remindered too! Wish he had said something about life jackets.
