Halibut this Saturday

If the weather's agreeable we're going out for halibuts at the Rockpile this coming Saturday. Since we've never fished this area anybody else going out that wouldn't mind a follower?

There will be a ton of Salty Dogs out there this week and weekend! Some will probably go to the Pile while others will head to the Ranch and then possibly out for some tuna. We'll all be leaving early in the a.m. and will be on VHF channel 78 if you want to join the pack! Check out the Fish Camp II post and maybe you can meet some folks the night before.

Halibut fishers will be leaving between 0 dark 30 and noon. Channel 78 (or 16 and shift)will usually get a response. During the run out though many of us do not monitor the radio. Best to get us before we leave...or follow the crowds out and talk to us after we get there.

I know it's probably a little late to be asking this, but anyone have a possible spare hole left open for crew on one of the halibut days up coming. (any day but friday for me, as I have a meeting I HAVE to be at work for).

Have all my own gear, and would love to meet some salty dogs in person.
