Default Fyi

just got word that Weyerhaeuser Springfield is shutting down all of their timberlands due to the level 3 fire danger.

"This information is for Weyerhaeuser’s Springfield forest area and is dated Friday, September 12, 2008. The information will remain in effect until the message is changed.

Fire season restrictions have increased to a Level 3 condition, and fire danger is extremely high on our timberlands. Until we experience significant rainfall or see decreased fire danger level, we are not allowing any type of public access on all Springfield timberlands. This includes no access for any vehicles, bicycles, horseback, walk-in or any type of public access.

Thank you for your understanding. This message will be updated as soon as any changes are made to our public access restrictions."

The same information can be heard on their hunter hotline phone service.

Just spreading the good word! So don't shoot the messenger!
