Default Florida Keys

This weekend me and a couple of my friends went to the Keys for a couple of days of fishing. Friday was a normal day. We went out to Marathon Hump and The Wall. We caught Wahoo,Black Fin Tuna and Dolphin.(No,not Flipper).Saturday we cruised up to the Islamorada. We decided to fish the reef for awhile around the Alligator Light House for some grouper and mutton snapper. We only had one line down on each side of the boat because we were casting a net off the back for live bait(Pilchards and Ballywhoo) All of a sudden we noticed a Frigget come swooping down from above and the ballywhoo were jumping out of the water. Just then a 150lb sailfish went swimming by. I grabbed a spin caster and and tossed out a live ballywhoo and sure enough hooked that bad boy. While I was fighting the sail fish a school of dolphin came rushing over to see what all the fuss was about. My partners brabbed two rods with some cut bait and tossed them out and immedietly hooked two 25lb dolphin. During all this ruckus one of the poles off the side nearly doubled over in half. Since we were all busy the boat mate had to real in what turned out to be a 42lb grouper. In all the commotion my sail fish had wrapped around the two dolphin and headed straight for the boat. In one gigantic leap he came over the corner of the boat landing both dolphin in the boat. The boat mate thinking quickly, while my partners ran for cover, cut both their lines so I could continue battling my sailfish. About 15 minutes later I was able to land the sailfish and we pulled up anchor to go out and do some real fishing

Yeah, sure, the two dolphins just jumped into the boat. You left out the part where they started talking to you and told you where the big blackfin were hiding...

Just kidding. What a fire drill that must have been. Sheesh.

Welcome aboard. I used to work with your udder brudder, Dave. Got to see him on Popeye's boat this spring, and we relived some old times.

Are ya gonna come tuna fishing with us up here this year?

Welcome aboard!

Talk about a train wreck, that's the wildest story I've heard in a while. Those Dorado are nuts but that's a little beyond my experiance, either that or the meter is on full tilt.

Either way- I got a rush and a laugh and a great picture in my head reading it.

edit- had to reload the meter, musta wore out the last one!
