Fish Camp II
We are going to do the fish camp thing again. So far there is a place to stay for Blubeast and his wife, Skein and his wife and all the fishers on 'Pilar' the day before they go to sea. Greg you could park on the lawn again and there may be a few bunks or couches left for others. Anyone interested post here and sorry but I will be slow to answer because I am on the road for the week.
The camp is in Otter Rock, near Newport and I will handle the intro email and questions this weekend and maybe sooner if I can get the heck out of the sawmill.
Jim? ... Dale?

Re: Fish Camp II
Yahoooo! Fish Camp II!
We'll be bringing the trailer over Wednesday evening after work and will be there all weekend. Keta is signed up for bunk space at least part of the time, but we have room for more if we get creative.
We'll bring our little freezer over again for bait and filets, and our BBQ for fresh cheeks and other delights.
What else?

Re: Fish Camp II
If I'm able to make it at all, it'll be Friday night. If you've got room for a pickup/canopy I'd like to join "sleepover". I'm fine in the canopy so I would only need access to facilities.
Oh yeah! Since I don't have a ride lined up for Sat. I would have to bring my boat, but only if conditions are relatively good.

I would like to stay at the camp! If there are no bunks or floor available, I will crash in my car. Can't wait.

Re: Fish Camp II
Threemuch,
The fold-down couch is available in the trailer so come bunk with us. All you'll need is a sleeping bag or blanket and pillow.

I'll be there Wednesday night  Can't wait for my fist trip out on the Big Blue with Pilar. I can sleep in my truck under the canopy or bring a tent.

Re: Fish Camp II
I have a large oval crock pot (big enough for a small turkey) I can send down with Pilar if you like. Lemme know.
I will also be sending my queen-size air mattress down with him in case it's needed.

Re: Fish Camp II
What? No Buffalo Steaks? Geez... here I descide to go, and only burgers?? Guess I'd better go an catch a halibut.
Of course, the roasts do sound tempting. Guess, I'll hafta sweetalk Mrs blubeast to see if she can help cook them up back at camp. Thanks Hoggemin. See you at camp.

Re: Fish Camp II
I plan to fish al three days...actually 4-5 days that week! However I am commuting each day. I missed out on the fun in May and would enjoy getting with everyone this time...just need to know where, when and how! Gotta brag on that giant butt I caught (Halibut that is)! Where is the shindig and what can I bring?
WP
PS Mrs will be with me so I should be socially acceptable this time!

Re: Fish Camp II
There will be some space in the cabin some nights (beds as well as floor space). Tents on the front lawn are fine, the weeds won't mind at all. Sleeping in your rigs is ok too.
Skein... as we're offering bed space to all... we need to remember the Leader of the Pack... Mr. Pilar! He will need a bed too.

Re: Fish Camp II
Blubeast, you mean Pilar? Nah, he doesn't sleep during the rodeo season. Just feed him a high-energy diet of oysters/crab/clams/cheeks/filets and pour him a cup of that pressurized coffee and he's good to go for another 72 hrs.
I think he even takes a snort of octane booster once in a while. But when he tells you how to rig, listen up.
John, ya got a spot any time you need it. You know that.

Re: Fish Camp II
Is there room for one more and a boat? The boat doesn't need a bunk just a place to park.

Re: Fish Camp II
Hey, is there room for another sleeping bag? I'm fishing with George Taylor, Blubeast and 8knot on Thursday and going out with Fishplay on Friday. Happy to lend my chef talents or any others that I have to the effort.

Re: Fish Camp II
I'll just be a visitor this time around. Gonna sleep on the boat and leave more room for others.
Sounds like it's going to be crowded and I don't want to get blocked in due to an early departure.
I can't fish Saturday. :depressed:
