Nice boat! I used to have a 17' Thunderbird - loved the ride & stability! Tight lines & big fish to you.

So that's what a 20+ foot tri-hull looks like. Looks like a Pilar on steriods!

Re: Pics of "Rotsa Ruck"
Looks like a good ride! What are the specs on it, 24'X 8 1/2'? Looks comfy.

Re: Pics of "Rotsa Ruck"
More details...year, where made, history, power. It looks like one heavily built fish machine. In my younger days I fished in some 18' and 20' tri's out of Texas ports. They were fairly common back then. They were stable, however they did not have the outside hulls pulled back like yours and they tended to pound in two to three foot seas. Looks like with your T-Bird, featuring the center deep vee hull, you would get a sweet ocean ride. Congratulations.

Re: Pics of "Rotsa Ruck"
Thanks Rod!
She is 28X10. Vintage 1969. They are built in Florida somewhere. I did a google search and found quite a bit of history; including some interesting info about the designer. Powered by twin 302's with 351 cam and heads and the biggest industrial mercruiser outdrives I have ever seen.
Fuel capacity is 130 gallons. Wish I had a flow meter to find out how thirsty she is and figure out my optimum cruise speed.
Look out TunaTown here we come.
The design is actually a catheral hull. It rides very well. It's going to take some time to get used to the fact that I don't have to slow down to cross other boats wakes. In this thing you just plow through with barely a bump.

Re: Pics of "Rotsa Ruck"
Greg, I am stunned!!! What a ride. You will love that cathedral hull. It turns on a dime and you can cut slightly to one side off the back of a swell. It goes 'Squish' and not 'bang' when you find the pothole in the trough with the sponson and not the center. 19 x 7 is working pretty good for me. All that room and you can sit on the engine cover and fish without getting bounced by the sea.
Nice boat, are those the 888 Mercruisers? They only did the Ford V-8s for a few years all the rest of the models and years are Chevy. How much fuel and load capacity? The 25 tuna a fisher limit might be in serious trouble on the 'Rotsa Ruck'.
Wow, Greg ... WOW!
What 4 handlines across??????
Wow!!!!
