Default Tuna sightings (albacore)

Just for fun I plotted some of the Albacore Tuna sightings from the Bay Area and Allcoast discussion boards. I only used sightings that seemed reliable (multiple witness / charter captains / etc..) and gave some Idea of the location, usually either a lat/lon or something like 210 degrees and 175 miles from San Diego, etc...

Transfered the points by hand to todays SST chart. The dots below might be off by 10 miles or 50 miles, but you get an idea of the trend of the sightings, interesting...?

Hey UG, which psychic has forseen the tuna next July 1st off Oregon? Just kidding...you probably meant June not July..is this the same alleged sighting by a shrimp boat off of Pacific City a week ago?

Thx.....Mark

OK UG, yea I wasn't sure if that was your sense of humor & hope, or if you had heard the "story." I would be rumor-mongering for saying a whole lot more.....but a certain friend of mine & salty dog member heard something from two different ("independent") sources about a boat that did indeed catch more than a few tuna a week ago off Pacific City. Maybe said Salty Dog can elaborate on the trustworthiness of his source (don't ya just love all this finnuendo?).

Mark- you're killin' me. Not just with the TUNA rumors, I'm dyin' over that word I think you just coined.... "FINNUENDO" - HA!!! LMAO!

OK - gotta go pick up PM's son and a bud of his an hit the hayfield again. Never thought I'd be looking forward to hauling hay on an 80 degree day but after Friday in 105 and yesterday about 95 this is going to be an easy day.
Last big chore before heading to the coast for the summer!!!

The Tuna are way closer than you think SST (NOAA) today .

Capt Mike...when is the BLITZ heading to the 45 125 line?. It's a straight run for me from Pacific City.
