Hey from Zihwatanejo!
Well everybody made it OK, we just hung out on the beach today and will fish for the first time in the morning. I found a internet cafe with satellite internet service (faster) and will get some pictures up tomrrow. Later! Gotta go rig rods and get some sleep.
Target TUNA?

If you do try the Don Julio, try the Culmanacion or the Fascinacion. Expensive but Aye Carumba!

Brad, keep Bruce away from Mexican spiders, aiming oil and anti-freeze. Water got high and muddy. Only "Chief" can catch springers anyway!

Re: Hey from Zihwatanejo!
You can fish there!!?? Just kidding...I did the honeymoon in Puerto Villarta and ended up doing one of those booze cruises to Ixtapa...rode very undernourished horses up to the waterfall. Ended up doing one of those water taxi rides too.....drank to many coconut drinks...had to go real bad...boat lost it's prop  ...I jumped in the water to go...only to see a dozen or so manarays swimming by  ...you've never seen a guy get back into a boat so fast! Can't wait to see the pics UG....have fun and don't forget the suntan lotion

Re: Hey from Zihwatanejo!
Brad,
I'll be right behind you...March 17 - 24 the wife and I will be in Zihuatanejo. Been to Mexico a number of times but this will be our first trip there. I am curious about the fishing. I've fished in PV in feb and March with limited success... been told the water wasn't warm enough yet. I'd love to hear if have any luck....
Thanks in advance for the info..... also any restaurant advice would be great. Adios

Re: Hey from Zihwatanejo!
Brad,
You are missing out on some great big natives they are thick as flies on the coast right now.
Know your having fun in the sun I guess we all need to get away sometimes to get the rust off our backs. Have a great time.

Re: Hey from Zihwatanejo!
Hey all... little update. Fishing yesterday sucked, water turned over and got cold.
Both our boat and CD Johnsons boat got skunked. There was only 1 sail and 2 marlin landed for the whole fleet. We borrowed a sububurban for the day today and are chasing reports of bait on the beaches and big roosters about 40 miles north. Bobbers and live bait in the surf is the plan, mexicans think we are nuts to use bobbers  , they have never seen a 5 oz west coast float before. Tomrrow we have a possible plan to chase some warm water that shows up on terrafin over some seamounts about 40 miles south. We shall see!
Hasta la vista!

Re: Hey from Zihwatanejo!
head for petatlan, turn right at the dirt road for san valentin. go all the way to the beach about a mile south of where the potosi lagoon meets the ocean. try the surf there! i dare ya. squid or cutbait. silver crocodiles can be awesome too. you'll have the surf to yourself. unbeleivably beautiful area.
