Default new motor

I have a 15.5 foot thor built sled with a old 70 horse johnson stinger 2 and im lookin to get a new motor and suggestions thank you

Some photos or hull measurements could help with answers to your questions ... Its hard to make suggestions with no information , what are you looking for and where will you be fishing with your boat ???

i dont have any pics... but its got a pretty deep hull semi v... i fish the satsop and wynochee regularly for winter run.. i was lookin at the honda and yamaha 90hp head with 60 pump

Figure out the weight of your outboard and keep around that weight for the upgrade ...
Your hull should have a max horsepower rating don't exceed it too much at all , that would be measured at the business end prop or pump ...
A Yamaha 90/60 jet weighs 390#...A Yamaha 60/40 jet weighs 268#
They both have a 25" shaft length ... measured from the cavitation plate to the bottom of the transom bracket ...
