Default Weekly Cigar Review Arturo Fuente Flor Fina 8-5-8

This weeks cigar is one that I just lucked out and got. I stopped at the Store to pick up a smoke for a friend of mines birthday and asked if they had any Arturo Fuente Hemingway Short story cigar and they sold out but the guy behind the counter knows me and said I would like this one they just got in. It was a Arturo Fuente Flor Fina 8-5-8

About the cigar it is a rare cigar to find they cell out fast (they are very good and for 5.50 a stick a great price). The cigar is a Dominican Rolled cigar. Size is what they call Corona gorda so that comes to 6 inch cigar with a size 47 ring gauge. With a Cameroon Wrapper and Dominican Binder and filler.

Appearance the color was a nice light leather brown natural color very few small veins and firm with no soft spots. And at just 5 bucks and some change you can see why this cigar is hard to come by.

This cigar lit with east and right away gave a great flavor it started with a floral nutty flavor and stayed constant with that flavor with hints of cedar. About halfway through the cigar got a little pepper into the mix but just a hint. The smoke from this cigar around the porch when smoking was one of the greatest smelling cigars I have ever had lots of smoke on this cool morning but the smell of the toasty warm smoke will warm anyone up.

As for burn it burned great the ash was a dark grey color (one would like to see White or light grey) but it burned even and not hot, For a corona size cigar it burned nice and slow and lasted me a long time. I did run into a bit of tunneling right at the point of the band but that does not mean it was a bad cigar tunneling can come from a lot of factors it just means the inside was burning faster then the wrapper. Humidity can cause this also but at that point I was ready to go to bed so I did not mind one bit.

So this is a cigar if you find them but one and try it out I think it would do some good for this cigar to take a nap in the humidor for a year or more it would be an awesome cigar. but I would list this as a mild to Medium cigar and a very nice smoke Thanks for reading Till next week rp
