Default Who knows more about the ocean than the Navy?

Here is an ocean predicting website I learned about in my Power Squadron piloting class last night.

FNMOC

Not affiliated with NOAA, it's a decent reality check.

Check out the Wind Wave Height predictions. It looks like this weekend should be as good as you can ask.

I hope it holds for next week.

I felt a queazy sensation when I opened up the page. I really did! Don't know if that page is hosted on a ship or wut. Lots of good reading I'm sure. Thanks.

It's a good site. It shows the wave changes every 12 hours. It's good because you can see where the changes are coming from. I think these were posted on the Weather Forecasting links thread. I'll find it and bump it for revisions.

It's a little cryptic, but the information is there in more detail, but less resolution (bigger maps) than NOAA.

Check out Oceanography, WW3, North Pacific. It's got
Significant wave height and direction
Swell wave h & d
Wind wave h & d
Peak wave h & d
Secondary wave h & d
Swell wave period & direction
Wind wave period & d
Whitecap probability

You can run a loop animation over 144 hours intot the future.
