Default Little Afternoon Grouse Action

Went out today after math class and hunted grouse for my first time ever. I kicked two up and was able to get one of them. I was happy. One grouse for about an hour of hunting.

Nice! Best tasting upland bird in my opinion. Enjoy!

Were you in Ore or Mont? I spent the better part of this week out and haven't moved a bird!

I usually get a few during deer scouting and dee season with my .22 or my shotgun. In the evenings they are always on the roads getting gravel for the gizzard

Oh geez Mitch, you had to go and do that before I could open up my season.

The terrain in that picture makes me drool, perfect!

I'll be at it hard tomorrow and Sunday.

I was in Montana on this hunt. Surprisingly, the scouting I did earlier this year paid off and I was able to find a couple birds. Mad Mikey, I have now found why you like to grouse hunt so much. They are cool birds that inhibit awesome parts of the country. I will be hunting them quite a bit from now on!

That sounds like a good area. Terrain looks real good also.
