I might be interested in joining you Mello. I have to check the dates again but after a frustrating time with the rules and regs around these parts I might have to fly north. As soon as I know all the facts I'm going to post them here and see how we can keep this crap from happening again down here. Anyhow, I know some decent places in Newport also, I used to be a frequent fisher there in my younger years.

Hey all,

Since they aren't going to let us fish Southcoast Halibut next month...I guess I'll be making plans to head north. So, Depoe Bay or Newport? If I make it, I'll likely load up the camper (fully self contained). Where are the best accomodations? Best launches (ideally w/camping accomodations), campgrounds, etc...This would be a great opportunity to meet some of the Salty Dogs, so I'll likely try and crowd my way in wherever the majority of others are staying.

Any input would be most appreciated...

Oh, and I may have an open seat or two...
