Default Upcoming Cutthroat reg meeting.

September 12th in Forest Grove. I will not be able to attend but sent a Letter. I would like to see a 2 fish limit. I would even support a slot limit also. Say 10"-13". I was on my favorite stretch of the nehalem just last week. Released over 20 fish in a mile stretch of river. I don't think I did that well back in the 70's when the limit was 10. I am tired of being forced onto the local crowded lakes in the area in order to catch and eat a fish. If the fish population supports a retention regulation I am all for it. Here is one of the Cutts I caught and released last week.

I also will not be able to attend. The trouble with these meetings is many are on week days and those of us who actually work for a living cannot attend.

I support your observations that they have returned and I have been fishing north coast streams for SRC's for 45 (or more) years. I believe the biologists believe they can support a small kill fishery also. Others disagree with this. Since there is mortality caused by catch and release I would argue that if the population is in trouble then it should be closed to all fishing.

Too bad us "Joe Fisherman" are unable to attend.
