Default Autoengenuity OBDII setup

I'm looking for a partner for this hardware/software setup. Hopefully someone in the Camas, WA area.

This setup allows you to look at the OBDII information stored in your cars computer. It can be used on cars manufactured since 1996. You can reset 'check engine' lights and diagnose ailments of you cars engine.

The hardware plugs into your car, then to a laptop computer via USB. You then start the software to begin the diagnostics. I am a pretty basic wrench-bender and believe I could use this every few months at home to ensure my vehicles are running well.

The basic hardware is $249. That would allow simple scanning of the basic OBDII sensors. I own a 1999 Chevy Suburban and a 1999 Ford F-250 Powerstroke diesel. I am interested in also purchasing the software to get all the data from these vehicles. The Chev/Ford software adds $229 to the hardware price for a total of $478 not counting shipping and handling.

This will not allow you to 'tune' your vehicle, although you can make adjustments for tire size. This is just for diagnostics.

If you are interested in going in on this, PM me and tell me your vehicles and location. I'd really hope to get 2 to 3 other partners to reduce costs.

Originally I was looking at the Autotap software/hardware, but based on a recommendation from a fellow ifisher, I thought I'd pursue this product.

Cheers,

djb,
Sorry i didn't get back to you right away, I've been out of town.

Do you have this software? Do you own the GM and/or Ford specific software?

That is what I'm really interested in. I'd like to be able to diagnose problems on both of my cars as they continue to age.

If you have this setup, would you like to share in the costs?
