Well it was a fun hunt with Pond and his dad. Long story short, the rifle hunters put a hurting on the antelope and they were scattered and skitish to say the least. Headed down on tuesday, met my brother who had a smoke pole tag for east beatys while Pond and I had archery tags for west. Went from the plan of spot and stalk to sitting in blinds. I don't know how people do it... I sat for over 40 hours before I got my buck. I passed on a 12 incher on opening morning and switched stands after Pond had success only to have a "no brainer" come to my original stand while Pond and his dad were sitting 60 yards away in the truck

. Well after feeling the pressure I told Pond I would shoot the first thing with horns on saturday morning. The lopes came in at 0820 and there were 6 does and fawn with one of the does having horns. So as I am nocking my arrow and getting ready to tag a horned doe, along comes my buck. 36.5 yards from my blind to where he was hit. man was I relieved to say the least.
