one tough girl
my wife is one tough girl.first of all,I got her a bow in may so she could join in with me.she has been shooting 5-6 nights a week since then.I have had her shooting muzzy practice broadheads all summer.she had gotten pretty good up to 40 yards.well two nights before opener I put the real broadheads on.she started practicing and I went inside too put my arrows together.5 minutes later she came running back in the house with a 5 inch long cut across her arm half inch deep.she had been pulling the arrow out of the target when she slipped and ran it across her arm.I super glued it together and ran her too the hospital.they said I did a good glue job and added just some more of their own and wrapped it up.well now I was worried how she would react to shooting it again with just one more day to practice.I made her a little mad on purpose{she shoots better that way]by telling her no one expected her too shoot again this season.after that she was puting all her arrows in the vitals at 40 yards.now the good part.2nd day of the season first buck we found, she nailed at 38 yards! a forky but I couldnt be prouder and I dont think I can wipe that smile off her face!! now that is tough!

Re: one tough girl
Had a similar experience with my wife, the gash wasn't quite as bad but here goes: I had an old Golden Eagle bow that I short strung so that she could try shooting a few years ago. She liked it so I bought her a Bowtech Ladyhawk in July. We shot nearly every night. The first weekend of the season she drew on a nice three point but he wouldn't stop trucking through the lodgepoles so he never had a shot. When she went to let down she put her finger up and sliced the crap out of it. She had me wrap it with electrical tape and she finished hunting the day out. That night she had me dress it more appropriately and we never missed a day. The next weekend she drilled a forked horn at 40 yards! (Two days ago she dropped one from 50)
Good job getting your wife back in the saddle, I know the....kinda strange excitement involved in your wife shooting a buck with a bow (strange in that I was much happier that she shot one than I would have been if I had shot one myself).
