Re: Saint Helens Springers
Isn't there some magic water temp that salmon wait for before running up stream? Seems to me last year someone posted about that. About 50 degrees?

Re: Saint Helens Springers
YEAH??????? I dont know if i buy the whole water temperature thing I have fished in glacier fed rivers with temps of about 38 degrees, and killed the fish. When they are here, you will know it, and they will bite.. Just my 2 cents worth...

Re: Saint Helens Springers
kingdeepsix,
Take a couple bags of smelt and go anchor up in the channel for gators! Just use your salmon gear!

Re: Saint Helens Springers
Time Off- I've heard 50 degrees come up, but usually as a popular time to switch from using bait, to hardware if I recall. Although, even post 50 degree people still wrap kwikies and all, I just think that's what I remember hearing! Tight Lines, TOC.

Re: Saint Helens Springers
There are no such thing as springers in the St. Helens area...
Went out for gators today, water was mucky, and there was alot of stuff floating down the channel, The river looked alright.
