Default Stick Homes

Hey I'm looking to build a stick-home on my property (a home where you select a plan and they build it from the ground up on your property, not a manufactured/factory home). Anyways, the only company i have really found is Adair homes. Are there other companies in Oregon who do such business? The home will be built in Central Oregon. Thanks everyone!

Bigdawg- The building industry is tough all over right now. You can get anyone to build just about anything right now. All you need to do is find a couple reputable builders and give them a set of plans. The other option is there are tons of cookie cutter builders that have plans of their own.

My suggestion is to call the builders association in Bend and get a list of names.

Do a google search for HiLine Homes. I don't have any direct experience with them, but a good friend of mine who is a builder was talking about using them to complete a couple of his projects that he got over-extended on. The build for as little as $38 a square foot, and reportedly have a good reputation.

Check them out, and do your homework for sure, but they're the same sort of deal as Adair.

Cheers,
Bulk

Exactly. I'm looking for cookie-cutter houses. Anyone know of any other companies?

Equityquest homes. Some people I know locally used them and said they did a good job. They let you do part of the work to save money.

Disclaimer I've never used them myself.

Anyone have any builders they would recommend? I'm not looking for a huge street of dreams home, but a 2,000 sq. ft. house on a plot of property we use for recreational purposes, three rivers to be exact.

Thought comes to mind. The reason I did not get an
Adair home 8 years ago, you have to heat with those
space electric heaters. I wanted ducted heat, so they
refused to talk to me. Not sue how it is now.
Be sure you pick some one who can do it, not just give
lip service. Good luck!

Adair is unwilling to make the changes I want, so they are out of the question. Anyone know of some builders?

Talk to baltz 526, 3 rivers is in his back yard.
Talk with a local building supply like Parr in Bend and ask them for reputable builders in the area. They will be happy to help.
