Looking for help...
I need some muscle to help with thransporting and placing a wooden fort for my son.
Friday May 23rd in the afternoon (TBD)

It is heavy heavy heavy and there is no way I can get the job done with the guy I bought it from.
I will provide pizza and beer for anyone willing to lend me a hand.
We will be seperating the structure and placing it into a trailer and the back of a pick up. Then we will move it from Aloha to Hillsboro. We will need to lift it over a chain link fence (about 4 feet high) and set the bottom on the prepared blocks then set the second story on top and screw it down.
I may be talked into making my famous hot wings to go with the pizza and adult beverages.
I think it will take about 6 volunteers.
The structure measures 4x8x about 13 feet high. It is made of plywood and is set on 2x4 frame on 16" centers. It is not light.
What do you say dogs? Lend a dog a hand?

post up here to volunteer and email me your contact info if I don't already have it.
Thanks in advance...

Re: Looking for help...
Lifting heavy stuff is right up my alley, but I have to pick a friend up at PDX at about 4.
Early afternoon? I can skate out of the office anytime.

Re: Looking for help...
I can help out. Name the time/place and I should be able to make this Friday. Can bring wire cutters and a hacksaw to take care of lifting over the chain link fence thing. Thats sounds scarey. I do not require pizza, beer or wings, just glad to help. But if we need to lift over a fence then WINGS sound pretty good.

Ray- where are you at? I've got a 90 hp tractor and front end loader. It'll lift a ton about 10 feet in the air!

Re: Looking for help...
This just keeps getting better.
Now I am leaving the country Saturday for a month!
I have so much to do before I leave I can hardly believe it.
This is a very important project for my son and it is a high priority but I may have to go to Seattle Friday to pick up a passport.
Maybe we could do this Thursday?
Mel, thanks for the offer of the tractor. I don't know how we could rig it to pick the fort over the fence.... Can you send me your phone number so I can chat with you about it?
I'll call the guy I bought it from to see what his schedule is.
I will also have a better understanding of my schedule by tomorrow mid morning.
Thanks for all the responses. This means a lot to me and my son.

Re: Looking for help...
I'd like to thank everyone for offering to help. I got it covered and it will be delivered and set up before I leave later this week.
See you in about a month, just in time for Tuna

Re: Looking for help...
So what is the fishing like in Ireland. I will be accompanying Mr F. to keep him out of trouble. He keeps saying something about a giant Guinesses (SP) . How big do they get? What do they taste like? What is the daily limit?
Any idea on the tackle required?
Actually Ray I just got off the phone with those guys and they are talking 10 to 12 hour days 6 days a week. I think they are planning on trying to kill our desire to try and take those Giant G'sssssss
To all our fellow ifishers say a prayer for us and farm a fish or two off for Ray and I to catch when we get back. Also if our stay is extended please promise to wait until our return before a trip to Tuna Town.
Ray what were we thinking. OHHH I Know $$$$$$$$$$$$ and adventure and of course the Giant G'SSSSSSSSSS

Wow!
Intel must be really hurting if they're sending you two!
Don't forget the gas masks for the plane ride.
Hey Ray, since you're leaving, what's your boat doing next weekend?

Re: Looking for help...
Ha- Mr Fish - I can just see you in the check in line with that boat in tow behind ya! If you're going to do that - jsut run the thing down around the Canal and across the little pond.
Those things get really good lieage right? Proly cheaper than a plane fare.
