Right back at ya HOGGEMIN!!!!!!!! I'm not sure what I enjoyed more--the 53", 70# 'but I caught, or the comraderie at the dock, on the ocen, and at the Rogue Brewery!!! After that first IPA, I was glad I held myself to my 3 beer limit AND took Pilar's advice which led to the order of the Blue cheese bacon deluxe!!!!
Great day, and I wish I could have stayed longer and enjoyed everyones company.
Can't wait for June--that is if I can bum a ride from someone
It was great to meet you and Corrirod--if ya need a deckhand, let me know!

Finally met Crazy Fish and friends, Sea Lion (Ray) and Capt. Kujo these past few days. Fished herring near Pilar and crew Friday. Great bunch of guys. Hope to meet more SD's during the June Hali season or before.

sounds like we missed out. We got up at 2:30 to drive down for the day and it was late when we left the dock so we headed home. Would have been nice to hang for a beer and burger will you all. We'd never make it home though. I was so wiped I was halocinating from salem to portland, but made it home ok.

Yes this crew ROCKS, Rolls and Eats like KINGS!
The Halibut queen brought Elk Stew and home made bread (to die for), Hoggemin brought Buffalo steaks, the Pilar Crew bagged Oysters, Clams etc and made a fantastic Chowder... We had Crab, Oysters, Skeins incredible edible smoked Butter Clams, Sea Lions Tuna Salad and smoked oysters and Drifty's Smoked Salmon, Hummingbirds Cigars, Ice Cold beer and other assorted adult beverages... It just dosen't get any better than this.
Thanks to Blue Beast for the use of the cabin, Skien for bringing down the toy hauler and everyone who showed up. You made this one of the very best Halibut seasons on the books yet.
Thanks to Popeye for the tour of the Julie Rose III and for helping to get Sea Lion into a boat record too, We couldn't have done it without you.
I am looking forward to many many more trips out with the Salty Dogs
