Default Forcasts for sat.?

Any of you verteran dogs have a forcast for tommorrow? I'm heading down to fish if it's doable. Hoping for the ranch and pile, but that might be wishful thinking. Hope the drive from portland is worth it.
Thanks,
GBS

GBS,

Tomorrow's forecast is not looking very good. If you are going out on a charter you will probably get out. If you are going on a private craft, I have my doubts.

Today I believe Depoe Bay was restricted to vessels 40' and over. Some of the charters went out and the ones that fished the ranch didn't do so well and were short on there fish. One six-pac boat fished the rose ang got all 6 of his fish. I will post a pic of his fish on a new thread.

This reply probably isn't going to help you because you are probably in bed already but maybe you will see it in the morning and you can check out the link I will post for an updated forecast in the AM.

Tonight
NW wind 15 kt. Wind waves 3 ft. NW swell 9 ft at 10 seconds. Showers.
Sat
NW wind 15 kt. Wind waves 3 ft. NW swell 9 ft at 10 seconds. Showers and a slight chance of thunderstorms.
Sat Night
NW wind 15 kt. Wind waves 3 ft. NW swell 7 ft at 10 seconds. Scattered showers.

Saturday turned out great.

Only 2-4' swells and wind chop never topped 3' at the rock pile. The forcast was twice what was there. 2 poeple and 2 Halibut 40" and 41"

well, we did get out. Went out with CDJ356 again. As usual, it was a good time. The butts where tougher to come by this time. We went 4 for 5, but had some other fish added to the mix. don't know why, but we sure gave alot of gear to the bottom, and that prop fo his sure is sharp. Drain the ocean, and there is a mighty nice tackle shop down there because of us. Oh well, that's fishing sometimes. Weather was mixed, squalls would move throught, it roughened, then laid down, etc. Pretty decent coming in though.
Thanks once again CD for the great trip out into the big blue. Hope you got the boat towed back ok.
keep in touch,
Brad AKA greenbutt.
PS good to meet Sea lion and Pilar too.
