Oh, there's really nothing to fish for over there. Save your money and just stay in your hotel. I wouldn't even bother going actually. I hear the weather here is much better.

Did I tell you that you make me ?

I've never been over there but I'm sure you'll have a great time.............jerk!

Sorry I didn't call you back yesterday. Apparently my cell phone doesn't record a call number that comes from call waiting. When I hung up from the other call and tried to find your number it wasn't there.

Isn't Maui 1/2 way in between Warrenton and Hammond? Sturgeon fishing might be pretty good now!

I'm with Rod...

Have fun!
My bro's been out there a couple times- not sure it was Maui though. Bills were non-existant but he got a 75 lb Ahi (Yellow Fin) last trip. I get the impression most of the time it's more of a nice expensive boat ride. Could be he was just there at the wrong time though.

I'd respond, but since I don't have anything nice to say, I'll keep it to myself.....

Enjoy your trip....

Guys....guys....I am not feeling the love here...better yet, we may have a new client in Honolulu....that would make for some very necessary business trips....which would require many offshore trips discussing the finer aspects of our business relationship.....

Seriously though...anybody ever fished there this time of year?

El-Shaddai,

Your friends maybe green with envy that you actually are forced to do business in Maui and have to take two days off for R&R. Poor Boy.....

Last I checked there were some charters operating in Old Town Lahaina Harbor but there is not much to fish for. They run to Lana'i and Moloka'i to fish.

If you are serious about fishing Hawai'i, you would do best to go to Kona-Hawai'i on the Big Island. The Honokohau Harbor is on the Kona Coast and that is where the Hawaiian sportfishing fleet is.

Fishing in Hawai'i on charter boats is strictly a catching thing. You do not get to keep your catch unless you make prior arrangements. The captain's will sell the fish to make ends meet for themselves. It is very expensive to run a charter boat in Hawaii with diesel prices and all the parts to maintain them flown in from the mainland.

Go fishing with the charter "Finest Kind" out of Lahaina. Take a full day charter and they will put you into fish. Their web sit is www.fishingmaui.com I was there in February and we caught some nice fish.
