Heading to Waldport to camp this weekend.
Anyone doing any good fishing?
How about crabbing?
Im going to bring all my gear and crab pots.
May go to Newport and fish the jetties too.
If anyone has any info that'd be great!

Thanks,
Mike

Crabbing has tapered off a bit in Newport. I have not heard anything from Waldport.

Was at Waldport last weekend and picked up a dozen each day for a couple hours work, in the bay not on the docks. The south side of the bay, where 101 follows it around towards Yachats was more packed with crab pots then I have ever seen. There must have been 150 crab pots and twenty boats there, during the outgoing tide. Lots of females were pulled up and lots of little ones. The males were quite big and for the most part were not soft.

I picked up a tuna last week over in Newport, down by the commercial docks. I think it was dock #7. Price was $2.25/lb.

I've been going to the same guy for the last couple of yeats. Good fish, and a reasonable price.
