Jennie in the news!
Looks like Jennie was in the right (or wrong) place in downtown PDX with her trained eye on the sky!

Re: Jennie in the news!
Um, yep...
Jennie at the "Executive Hilton" I'm an executive type, uh huh!
Funny thing, on the street outside the Hilton, I turned to ask one older --ummm 'gentleman' if he knew what was going on and youda thought I was street trash!!! He looked at me, curled up his expensive lip and said, "How would I know???" Oh, he was nasty! I guess that "executive" doesn't talk to people?! LOL I wonder if it was because I was wearing hip waders?
It was a really nice room, with an awesome bath tub, and it was a great view of the goings on!
When it got quiet, I'd think, "OK, I'm going to go take a bath..." and I'd fill it up and start to get in, and then "Whop whop whop whop...." again! I filled that tub a zillion times and never did get in!
I saved up my Hilton Visa points and treated myself to a night away to shop, run a couple downtown errands, and go to the doctor, etc. I thought it would be fun to play with the electric curtains.
It was NOT restful. Not at all!
Maybe next time! I have 98k more points... enough for three more executive treats, somewhere! I can't wait. I love love love nice hotels!
The lady from the Oregonian had read my account of it on ifish and called me, yesterday to talk. So, I knew it was going to be in there. LOL...funny!

Re: Jennie in the news!
I would think the woop woop woop would make it like a jacuzzi tub. Or a magic fingers bed without all the quarters. God I miss those beds.

Re: Jennie in the news!
My parents never let me try those, but I always wanted to! LOL
You didn't really need to have those the other night, though... Just lay on the bed and the whole hotel shook!

Re: Jennie in the news!
PS: Now that you say it, though, there WERE more bubbles in my bubble bath than usual.

Re: Jennie in the news!
LOL... I wasn't really wearing, them... But I probably do look like a fisher rather than an executive.
You know, I'm SO tired. So so so tired.
That's why I was there. Things have been rough with the kids lately, and Bill said, "Why don't you go and do this and this.... all by yourself."
So, I took him up on it. I hadn't slept well for nights on end.
Tonight is the night. I'm going to sleep and sleep and sleep. I am SO tired.
I came home last night and I was too tired to sleep. Ever had that happen?
I just tossed and turned all night and got up at 5. I'm just toast.
So, tonight is the night! I'm going to sleeeeeeeeeeep! No helicopters, just owls hooting in the night, and the river trickling and singing a quiet little song.
I can't wait. Is it time yet?
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
First, time for Traeger spare ribs, yellow rice, peas and fresh chanterelles and onions sauteed in butter.
YUM.

Re: Jennie in the news!
Thats funny I read that quote in The Oregonian about being able to see the guys teeth. It left a really vivid picture in my mind. I thought it was hillarious a diner at Higgins on Broadway said he and his party thought for sure we had invaded Iran. That doesn't even make sense? Why would that cause the special ops to fly around Portland??

Re: Jennie in the news!
I saw you driving into town Monday am! I waved, but you were driving safely.
I was stuck in the fast lane and couldn't slow down....not that you would recognize a strange wierdo waving at you.
I was coming back from Jewell Meadows on that glorious morning!
