Default Read This...CR Closed Section MAPs

Sticky??

There are numerous single threads over the last week and more appearing daily, asking for the boundary deadlines..... for the Columbia River Salmon Fishery Fall 2008

The Defined area per the REGS:

Chinook retention (adults and jacks) will be prohibited from August 1 through December 31, 2008 in the area defined by a line projected from the lower end of Bachelor Island, Washington to the Warrior Rock Lighthouse, Oregon downstream to a line projected from the red navigation Marker 62 at the head of Deer Island, Oregon, across to the green navigation Marker 63 at Martin Island, Washington, (river miles 79 - 88).

Here is a map via ODFW

http://www.dfw.state.or.us/resources...dSalmonMap.pdf

#62 and #63 are basically just above the slough that you see the party boats ringed together along I-5 in the slough throughout summer, approx 4 miles upriver of KALAMA.

They didn't...for those that are unaware...WARRIOR ROCK is the LIGHTHOUSE 200yrds upriver of the MC Channel/Sand Island. It is easily seen from the mouth of the Lewis.

The map provided by ODFW obviously is not to scale

Thanks for the post. I haven't really been keeping up with all the posts and/or the regs and have been wondering what is open and where. Now I just need to find time to get out there.

The limit is one chinook and one clipped steely or clipped silver right? Total 2 fish, one may be a chinook?
