Looks like another crappy weekend according to NOAA, Wetsand and Magicseaweed. BUT, Tuesday looks amazing! If the weekend conditions continue like this, I will either 1) need to buy a 40' puker, or 2) retire so I can take advantage of the weekdays.

Of course I had a wedding and family plans last weekend when the weather was nice, now I have 4 days off (Fri-Mon) and the weather is shot. Monday looks doable, and a maybe on Sunday, if things improve a bit.

I'm as equally frustrated with the forecast as you are. Nice ocean = work day. 14ft combined seas = day off / weekend. A 45' blue water sailboat would be my choice for Tuna fishing this year.

Monday does look good, but it's not an all-depth day. I know that most of you can't think about anything other than TUNA! this time of year, but I have a long list of friends that I promised to take Hali fishing.

Take 'em inside straight out from the lighthouse. Might get some halis there. Just past the 3-mile line. Its about 200 ft.

Fin, tuna is all we have to think about off shore up at the CR. No halibut here, no halibut season, no respect. We are the Dangerfields of the Oregon Washington coast line.

Re: 29/30/31 Aug
Maybe I should just call in sick Tuesday, load up the TUNA! gear I've been slowly gathering over the last couple years and give it a try.
Kinda funny, as much time as I spend in the salt and I'm still a Pacific Ocean TUNA! Virgi!
