Leave the Salt on the boat
Hi.
Guilty as charged for moderated and <unprintable>.
Leave the salty talk on the boat. When we get back to the beach we'll flail the black and white fish with <unprintable> whilst standing around the fire with the cactus juice in hand. Arrrrrrr.
The use of the words BUT* and moderated is not allowed even in this quiet backwater.
We have been warned and I have failed you as your leader by breaking that rule.
Can you forgive me?
*edit* That was weird, I moderated myself.

Re: Leave the Salt on the boat
Got a lot of edits to do today John! Just a bunch of old sailor dogs who can't spell around here, just can't figure out that Halibut on has one "t".

Re: Leave the Salt on the boat
Halibuts may be called buts (or if you must, "butts"), anytime you like. Where did you get the idea it wasn't? If it weren't alright, I would have it in the word filter, right?
I think you are missing the point.
For your enjoyment, you may say Damn, Hell, and butt. See? They aren't even in the word filter!
What fun!
These are the rules, however:
These were up for quite some time on both LIG and ifish main.

Re: Leave the Salt on the boat
OK, my attempts to turn this board into LIG ) ( have failed. It was all a misunderstanding. I am so sorry, Jennie, please forgive me.
I will now return you, dear constant readers and posters to our previously scheduled programming on the fishing channel .. all fishing ... all the time.

Re: Leave the Salt on the boat
I'll come here, whenever I feel the need to kick some butt, damnit.
How the hell was that?
See? I can talk dirty too!
(Please don't tell my minister, OK?)

Re: Leave the Salt on the boat
You're cute, Jennie, but no cusser. I suspect if your minister read those words he would just chuckle. I mean you even spell them correctly, so who in their right mind is going to take you seriously.
We'll be good from now on. The salt will stay in the ocean and the "damn" will stay at Bonneville.

Re: Leave the Salt on the boat
Hi! This is DipSeaDiver AKA: Mrs. Skein, AKA: Halibut Queen (which may be a bit premature).
This will be my first official post. I hope I do this right....
I have been sharing information with my high school students about this site and how everyone works hard to make sure that everyone is treated respectfully. I do appreciate the fact that there are those of you who believe in censoring your speech on this site. I know that my students would get a kick out of some of the "frank expressions", but(oops, I mean however), it's really great to let them know that events and feelings can be described creatively and colorfully without the use of the "vernacular".
We are about to do a post to ask some questions about sharks, halibut and fishing. We hope to get some great information. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
DipSeaDiver
PS. I really enjoy "Halifanny" and hope to go get some more. We won't let Pilar use his "dingbusted" gaff.

Re: Leave the Salt on the boat
DipSeaDiver -
Hi there, glad to hear you're on-board. Congrats on the Hali's! However- if you want us to maintain a nice friendly civil attitude around here- you have to tell us a fish story (We KNOW you have at least one good one) . THe kids will enjoy it too.
Start a new thread so everybody see's it please!
PS- I'm so glad you posted- reminds me I forgot to get Mr Skein a check in the mail for those hooks!

Re: Leave the Salt on the boat
DipSea - hey girl! Glad you signed on! How's my favorite Halibut Queen?
Hey guys, this is one classy lady. Lemme tell you - You could take a lesson in brag from her.
She says when the table gets quiet last week after her trip on the Pilar, "That ling that I caught today? Was that the only legal one we got today?"
So kids, listen up! Janice has a few things to teach y'all! I wanna be just like her when I grow up!

I've got so freakin' many degrees I could paper my damn walls with 'em! Hell, does that mean that I am linguistically challenged ???
I DO NOT THINK SO!!!!
Please do not incite me further--I am feeling a bit naughty .
