Re: archery hunters
Gotta work on the 1st and 2nd, but will hopefully get a couple evening hunts in those days, and then I am off the 3-5th. Hopefully I can track down my buck.

Re: archery hunters
This Thursday kicks off 4 weeks of bowhunting for me. I can't wait.
2 weeks in E. Oregon. Hopefully kill our bulls before the crowds show.
1 week on the coast (if needed). I "might" deer hunt this week if I've kill my bull, but I'm not sure I want to miss out on late season blacktails, so I might save that tag for November.
If I'm still not filled, I'll stop back by our spot over east for 2 or 3 days with a buddy on my way to Montana for deer and antelope.

Re: archery hunters
Going to hunt roosevlets and black tail by alsea river. Got into two herds in three days during the second season last year, but never got a shot off. Al lthough I drew a couple time. Any one know of any web sites or have any tips about hunting roosevelts would be sweet. Would be nice to know when the peak of the rut is on the coast. Good hunting all.

I went out scouting on Saturday. Gates are locked and the elk were right where I was hoping they would be. Gosh I can't wait for Saturday morning!

Re: archery hunters
We are headed for Idaho on Sept 6th for 2 weeks. I am going to do the calling for the kid and 2 friends and I am just as excited as everyone else. The kid wants to go back into a hole that we found a big bull in last year and chase him around some more. Good luck to all. Most importantly, enjoy the time spent with friends and being in the beautiful outdoors. Leave it cleaner than when you got there.

Re: archery hunters
We hung stands in Central OR. last weekend. I will hang one stand this week on the westside after I check the 4 trail cams I have in this area.
Yeah, we are real excited, I gotta go pee

Re: archery hunters
We have three stands up near the PCT, with trailcam looking @ killzone (hopefully), campground reservations made, and bows are dialed in. John, young Matt and I are hunting each weekend- except when I am in the Sawtooths, for the middle week hunting elk the River of No Return Wilderness with my buddies Corey and Pro, in ID. The GF aint happy, but these little tests (like the entire month of Sept and most of Nov.) are just supposed to make love stronger, right? I told her think of all the time we'll get to spend during the week watching football on TIVO.....Thank God for Tivo, right, Baby?
