Default My Story

I realized that I did not give a story on my first post, so as to not cheat tou all here goes.

Until they combined the harvest tag I was a sturgeon only fisher... now its like they are making me fisk for salmon. I bought my boat from a friend of mine and decided to try my hand at salmon fishing last fall.. went once with my neighbor to get the idea then went out with my buddy... fished for a couple hours with no luck. another boat pulled up next to us and asked of our luck and politely asked if they could anchor up next to us. We said sure and with in 5 minutes I had a nice 28 pounder on and netted it about 15 minutes later.. I was not comfortable with drifting down so just fought it to the boat. A little while later brought in a 35 pounder. At about 4:30 got a little one just a hair to big to be a jack, which I let my friend reel in. I told my wife I would be leaving the river at 5:00 so I needed to make a decicion. I asked the guy in the boat next to us if i could use his Cell and called my wife... as I was talking to her telling her I would be late, my rod went off. I Said "honey, I've got to go" handed the phone to my friend and set the hook. he tossed the phone to its owner who told my wife we would be home in 30 minutes with our limits. I handed the pole to my friend, who brought in another 28 pounder and were home 30 minutes. not bad for a first salmon trip.
