Eric and the Longfins
I took Eric with CD, George and Jon in search of a halibut out of Garibladi. Those flatties just weren't home. At noon without a hookup, we looked at the clear blue warm water, and threw out the tuna gear. In 5 minutes we were hooked up. Then another, which we failed to land. Then more than an hour of nothing. We headed 7 miles west, and put em in when we saw some jumpers near some flotsam. We couldn't get em to go so we resorted to throwing some fishtraps, and the fish were cooperative. We wound up with six, and Eric and I got to tag team a few longfins. Great stuff.

Eric looks pretty happy in that pic! It's nice when the albies are close to where we fish for halibut!

Nah, that's CD's. My boat is headed to the boneyard. I can't justify the expense to repower, and without a motor, the hull isn't really worth anything. I think next for me is a 17 montauk for lake, river, bay and nearshore. OPB for offshore.

Eric may learn a thing or two about fishing and life in general with that cast of characters around him. Great picture!
