Default TUNA Sat. Garibaldi (just 4 fun, not OTC)

Oneyedjack was nice enough to keep me out of my boat and invite me into his "Reel Loco". Thanks Bruce what a great day on the water.

He, Duckworth Dave, and Bruce's son Steve and I headed W/SW away from the OTC line at sunrise. We moved 2x, W & N and on the second move spotted jumpers and started to pitch to them.

Fished until about 2:30, caught a few on the troll and caught several tossing fishtraps at jumpers. Scratched up 8 fish and headed for the barn.

A near perfect day; as Dave said..."Perfect weather, perfect ocean, we got fish and we didn't break anything..."

(Well, OneyedJack broke a rod but that's his story to tell.)

Just say NO! to "No fish zones".

Worst case? "It's all about the debris field..."

Good report, MP. I agree, sometimes the 'perfect' days are not measured in numbers, but rather in pounds of pleasure. Sounds like you guys had plenty of that.

Way to go. Glad you got out.

MP, how far out did you have to go??? I'm trying to decide on Garibaldi or Newport for Tuesday (tomorrow) and part of my decision is how far I'll need to go. Fuel capacity limits me to 40 or less with trolling time still allowed. Thanks......
