She's here, and she's purty!!!
Well here she is, 2003 20' Hewescraft Searunner, Honda 115/9.9, full canvas, and a few other goodies. Electronics to be purchased a little later.

Re: She's here, and she's purty!!!
IP,
Ordered her on Feb 14th, delivered last Tuesday.
There is a paper registration on the port side window. In this pic she is only about 4 hours old.
Skein, thanks. Don't worry sir, Ed will get you yours in no time flat.

Re: She's here, and she's purty!!!
Thanks birdnest. That dosent seem like too long of a wait. I was under the impression thet the turn around was more like 5 or 6 months . Its worth it ,,for such a nice boat ,,, but, im slightly bias. id. p.

Very nice boat! You are gonna love that Honda 115. You're first mate looks plenty cozy too...obviously a natural on the water.

Out of shameless pride I am going to bump this to the top. I know a lot of you folks were out on big blue chasing 'but and missed our long awaited vessel. By the way, congrats to all you 'butheads I sure have enjoyed the pics and stories.

Funny...I tried to spell 'butheads with two t's and got censored.

Re: She's here, and she's purty!!!
Boy is that a familiar sight! It is almost a duplicate of my boat! I have the 130 and it is slightly more "weathered" and abused but same color, same hull, same cover. Of course you look way better than this old man at the helm, but I have to work with what nature gave me! Congratulations...you will be happy with the performance, the ride, and the pleasure of a fine boat. Hope to see you on the blue soon!

Re: She's here, and she's purty!!!
I'd say she looks like about 5'5 with about a 16" beam, but I could be off a bit
If she's anything like mine, she'll be a real pain when it comes to trailering!

Re: She's here, and she's purty!!!
Fish-On,
I am not sure. The boat is 20', so with motors and the tongue of the trailer I would have to guess some where, sort of close to, maybe around, in the neighborhood of, but not exactly 25'. I will put a tape to her and get you a better answer later.
I can tell you this, she is to long to store at my house and is spending cold lonely nights away from the man who truly loves her at a storage sight.

Re: She's here, and she's purty!!!
Birdnest,, i feel for you man. I too was thinking that i would have to keep my searunner in storage.
With some determination i was able to make the boat fit the garage. I bought a floor jack. I let just a little air out of the tires and removed a strip of molding across the top of my garage doorway and wa- la , she fits. I am looking for a new home now, and the height and length of the garage will be a selling point.
The winters are long and cold here and i just couldnt see spending all winter going over to visit my boat. I spent the winter boating the world ,,,, from my garage... good luck and nice ride. id. p.

Re: She's here, and she's purty!!!
PDX Kevin,
I have had her out twice. First time was to break in the main, second time out, the kicker. Well to make a short story long, I decided to do a little trolling while I was breaking in the kicker. I ended up boating a 8" Cutthroat. Wife was feeding the baby at the time, so no pic. We laughed at the per fish cost of that little guy and got him back in the water. On the bright side, my boat is 100% on her fishing trips.

Re: She's here, and she's purty!!!
Yeah she is a pretty boat! We'll be sure to wave as we pass you on the way out to the "butt-beds".
Good fishing. When you're ready for electronics, you might check with me for any current deals. As a boat manufacturer, I run into them quite often.

Capt Kujo,
If you go fast enough, you actually might go back in time and thus you will be "behind me".
I will keep you in mind on the electronics, thanks for the tip.

Re: She's here, and she's purty!!!
Hey Birdnest, nice boat. Welcome to the Hewescraft club. I know you will really enjoy it. If you haven't been in salt yet, you might consider putting some sharkhide protectant on it. If you don't, the bare aluminum will turn kind of purplish/brown. I don't really notice it much any more, but my wife hates it. HJ

Re: She's here, and she's purty!!!
Hawgjaw,
They had that as an option, but my dealer swayed me away. His point was the application is usually done poorly and looks bad. Do you know of a good after market product? I would think something like a compound that could be applied like a wax.
