Inconsistent Forecasts for Saturday?
OK, according to NOAA, we have the following for Saturday:
.SAT...W WIND 5 TO 10 KT...BACKING TO SW WITH GUSTS TO 15 KT IN
THE AFTERNOON. WIND WAVES 2 FT. W SWELL 5 FT. PATCHY FOG IN THE
MORNING.
The map for wet sand shows winds at 0 to 4 kts. But the wind forecast chart on Wet sand show 8 kt winds in the AM increasing to 20+ kts in the afternoon.
What the heck?

Probably a last minute call...again, Wednesdays Storm wasn't as big as pedicted, so the swell should drop nicely, & Fri could be a good day, the timing on the approaching storm Sun will be a decision maker for Sat, I'm hopeful as Sat could be my last chance til after Bow season.

This year I have learned to hate the south/southwest wind. A couple weeks ago it was forecasted to be a 5-10kt sw wind. Turned out to be more than that and most boats took between 3.5 - 5 hours to motor back in from 50 miles.

Here's all you need to know about why NOAA should not be your primary source for making a decision to fish or not...
CASCADE HEAD NORTH-
SAT
S WIND 5 TO 10 KT.
CASCADE HEAD SOUTH-
SAT
N WIND 5 TO 10 KT.
Saturday should fish fine.....

Load the boat, fill the tank, and bring your A game. Fish on! Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Innocent fish will perish Saturday.
