Im thinking it might but they will need to be picked before the heat comes back. I know the oysters are flushing now saw some small ones today.
Get pics if you find some and good luck.
In a study on chanterelles done in the Cascades, the amount of rain that made a determining factor in fall chanterelles was actually spring and early summer rains. But boy I hope the season is a sweet one!
Does anyone get Boletes at the coast? I have heard that with a wet August they can be prolific.
Letsfish...I ate a couple of good meals worth of Common Scaber Stalks (Boletus) from my front lawn last fall. If you've got birch trees you may have 'em too.
You'd be suprised at how many decent edibles you can get in town.

I get my boletes from the coast normally in September and October just find some shore pine forest along the coast and the boletes will not be far behind. Also gated vacation home communities are amazing for hunting them. Once visited one my buddy's family owned near seaside and picked 6 pounds of boletes just looking in the little patches of shore pine forest.
