Default Who's staying where for Newport BFB?

Anyone camping down at the south beach harbor that wouldn't mind a little more company? My buddies who were coming from CA cancelled, so I am on my own.

I'm not camping but I've got a room at the CozyCove right across the street that I could share. They also have a hot tub.

I'm camping out in the boat or truck most of the days. I'll be down there early Thursday morning but after that I'll be camped out. Let's hook up for some beverages.

Though I plan to commute, I think checking in and sharing the days experiences is a great way to end the day! Where are you all going to go to sup on suds and chat? I am in for this!

Well, since my new Cozy Cabin heater is installed and tested I'll be staying on Sea Lion. Kurt, I may have room for you on Friday night, let me know.

I'll be down Friday night. Sounds like someone needs to suggest a bar or a restaurant. My first trip, so I have no idea ...

The combo bar/restaurant of choice is Rouge Ale's brew pub right in the NW end of the parking lot at South Beach. From camper/boat/truck, to dock, to sea, back to dock, to camper, to Rouge for vittles and refreshments, then back to camper. That is the way the day goes, maybe a shower if you have the time or energy for it.

I have to agree with Orca. Rogue is definately the most convenient.

Excellent. I will be staying in my dodge durango, so I will have a mobile campsite. Lets say meet at the rogue brewery, 4pm or so?

We'll be right down the road from South Beach, so back to the Rogue will be easy enough to do if we have any energy left.

Dan, I'm running into issues... I'm not liking the looks of this thing, but it will be done. I have a superior idea, but time is needed as I have to have some welding done along with some additional machining.

We'll be at the Otter rock Halibut resort thanks to Skein and Bluebeast. If you got an RSVP and haven't answered yet, please do.

Wednesday thru Sunday both weeks. Stop by and say hi, the boat will be at 'A' dock when it is not out carking the chicken ranch.

Do they (cops, harbormaster) care if you camp out in the parking lot at South Beach? Self contained camper. Or we may end up staying at South Beach campground. The south coast forecast doesn't look so promising at this time, so rather than P.Orford, I think we will be going out from Newport.

I may have 1 open seat for Thursday and Friday, I'll know more Tuesday night- email me if you are interested

fishwhenican,

Camping overnight in the lot is no problem, but the port will charge you. $10 last year, and it may have gone up. Newport is the greediest port on the coast that I know of. That's why I have begun to spend more time at Winchester in the summer, everything is about 40% cheaper than Newport.

I'll be staying at the Inn At Yaquina Bay. The Rogue sounds good to me.

On the boat on C dock probably -- look for white flag on VHF antenna -- I would love to hook up with some of you folks -- Rogue is always a must.

Popeye, I assume you'll be there. See you soon.

Funny Cide paid for some fuel -- if you're a horse racing fan, you know what I mean.
