Any SD's fishing hali's out of Garibaldi?
We will be leaving port at appox 0530, dropping pots and heading for the hill. We will be monitoring channel 16 + scan. Anybody else targeting the larger northern Oregon hali's  ? As always, the more the merrier . HJ

Re: Any SD's fishing hali's out of Garibaldi?
If the weather forecast holds (3&7) the run out of Garibaldi is gonna be an option for me. Rougher bar but closer in. Depth is kind of a problem there if its a fast drift. I'm thinking Thursday and Friday.

Re: Any SD's fishing hali's out of Garibaldi?
Well, it sounds like a fish party . I was able to get some shad from a fellow ifisher. Let me know you guys want some. If anyone has extras of those "big Newport" herring, I could use some. If not, I'll just use two purples. I sure hope the weatherman co-operates. I'm too ansty to wait to wait any longer . HJ

Dynamite, No problem on the shad. It is in my freezer in Nehalem so I can't get to it Wednesday evening. You can meet me there Wednesday night or I can meet you at the dock in the morning. My cell is 503-830-5998. Let me know what works for you. HJ

Re: Any SD's fishing hali's out of Garibaldi?
You betcha! See you out there. OK, I will be hitting the bar by 5:30 to see how it looks. My wife says I can't go if the swells are higher than the boat top. Ok, I'm crossing my fingers. HJ

Re: Any SD's fishing hali's out of Garibaldi?
OK, Its official I will be heading out of Garabaldi on Thursday.
HawgJaw, you launching your boat or do you have it moored? I will be launching around 5am, I have a 24' Bayliner with a blue stripe "Fish Stix's"
I will look for you out there.
I don't have any numbers for the hill, I guess I will just follow the wakes, unless someone wants to share!

Re: Any SD's fishing hali's out of Garibaldi?
Andy, I will be launching at about 5:15 and heading out soon after. My GPS is in Nehalem, so I can give you my numbers any time after 7:30 tonight (cell 503-830-5998) or give me a call in the morning. Hummingbird, look for my Hewescraft being towed by a black Dakota. I going to try to hit the basin by 5:00. See you down there. HJ

Re: Any SD's fishing hali's out of Garibaldi?
Hey SD's-
I just got a last minute call to fish off of a charter boat for halibut, I'm assuming the Chicken Ranch? We are leaving from Garibaldy at 5:00 AM, so I will be looking for any i-fish stickers I can find. So if you guys see someone waving at you from a charter boat, say "hi", it's me "Green Machine".
