Default Help with ir trail cam

Hello all I am a newbie to the site and to trail cameras. I have been reading the forum here for about a year and I know how helpful most of you are so here goes. My wildview exteme ir 3.0 is washing out my pics the ir flash seems to be hit and miss working when it is still light out. I have it set for auto but I think it is to sensitive it goes off starting at about two to three hours before dark and I get white pictures. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be apreceated. Also has anyone tried the window tint to dull the red glow of the ir leds? if so does it affect the flash range? Thanks.

The IR white outs. does this happen only during the day to night time? only thing I can come up with. Is the sunshine is facing camera, or a light source. Can also be reflection of brush, grass, tree branch. that is my guess on it, from seeing what mine does. (that had to run up the next day to Fix the angle of trail cam).

Glass tinting, IT's been done & posted results on the Trail cam Testing site. Fellow used the auto tint, 5% I think 30% to test. Yes, it did lower the flash range from the IR light. Also helped with Prevetion of The Sub-Humans from seeing the Trail cam in the woods.

Will try to locate the info on tinting & will PM you with the info.

I am not real sure about the times as this is the first time I have used it. I set it up at about 6 pm sunday and then second guessed my placement. I went back about 6 pm monday to reset it and the pictures of me leaving on sunday were great but the ir went on when I returned on monday. There were no other pictures on it to go by however it will be in the woods for a week now and I will know how it worked and times when I check it this sunday. It also did that to me when I was testing it out in my garage whith the lights on once.
