Default Is the Willamette blown?

Thinking about heading down there this AM but thought I would ask first. Anyone live on or near the river that can give me a report? With all this rain I think it might be blown.

Bad for salmon, good for sturgeon.

Has it browned up? :depressed: Or is it still fishable for SPRINGERS! ?
Hey "Riverliver" or "THE HAPPY HOOKER", could you please give us a quick visual report on the water clarity? Thanks -

I would like to know the condition of the Wilammette AND the channel.

I'm going out tomorrow, just don't know if it's going to be Sellwood area or Scapoose or somewhere in between. I know with all the rain that a place like Sellwood could look good this morning, and be blown by tomorrow. I sure don't want to get there in the morning and have to waste the time driving way down river to get ahead of the mud.

Let's keep this near the top if we can, please!

I went out last night. The tides look good and the river is up a bit but the color is O.K.

The real problem is the bite is off. I didn't hear any good report on Meldrum bar. The only fish I heard of was the one Chief caught. I think that bunch of fish went through and we need to wait
for the next wave.

Just my opinion.

ok, I'm lookin out the window right now, I'd say a little high but not to HIGH, and a little brown but not to BROWN. the problem I see with the willamette is takes 2 days of rain to go up and 10 more days to come back. If it stayed like this and got better the next couple of days thats fine.
But most of the time after a heavy rain stops, upriver runoff and crap make for a longer time for the water to get green! But who know when a fish wants to bite.

I was on it this morning (warned chief to not catch any more until we got our share of the harvestable surplus...not sure it did any good).

Color is dark, but yeah, not too dark...fishable...strong, fast incoming tide through noonish or so.

Kinda tricky on this one...it's still coming up in Salem and could blow out by tomorrow morning...

may not stay out, though...farther down the valley it's already peaked and should start dropping tomorrow...

I'm out of town tomorrow and Friday, but monitor the rise and fall on this site:

Thanks hookem...It's nice to know where someone is looking at the river when they report it's color.

Just got a report from a buddy down at the mouth of the Clack. The Willy is blown and the Clack is almost blown as well. I'm thinking it will only get worse for both rivers. Without any rain today the Clack could come into shape by friday, hopefully.

Sounds like a good time to tie up some more gear, clean the beer cooler and say hello to the wife.

Not necessarily in that order.

Back to the top....Got a conflicting report from turtlesoup who's watching the Sellwood area, he says the color is improving there? After being brown earlier this morning?

Would also like water color report from the channel.

Thanx
