Default Elk hunting the oregon coast

I am new to the Oregon coast and I live in Lincoln City. Has anyone hunted the Slick Rock Creek area? Are there any good spots near Lincoln City for elk?
Any help would be grealty appreciated.

Lots of good spots around LC. Just get off the road and you will see elk sign! Good luck.

Skalada and Roots Creek.... good places, lots of elk. Find out if Gustina will allow you to hunt in there though. Lots of cuts ranging from 3 - 15 yr. old.

Giustina requires a permit. They're closed right now for fire danger. Never hurts to ask though. Out toward Otis is good too.

i have been out scouting the last couple weekends also and have not seen as many elk as i did prior...i know the elk are still there and im sure your spot is still holding the same elk...im not sure but i think this rain has made them change there patterns? so they are not having to rome as much to find water??? im just going to keep hitting up the same areas and fallow the fresh sign

When we get a late summer rain like this it helps to green up their food and they will scatter more because they don't have to be as concentrated. Elk will feed in what we consider a circle not sure they will call it that but its natures way of them not eating every thing out in place so they rotate. Keep looking in the general area they are there some where.
