I finally made my first bar crossing today. We went out of Newport at about 7 a.m. this morning. Made it a short trip, the swells were a little big for me. We did manage to catch a few ling cod and a couple of sea bass. Had them for dinner tonight, now I can't wait to get back out there. If only I could do something about the seasick part.
