Default Help! Report???

Hi Folks:

Been down at the East Cape the past eight days and haven't a clue what is in store for this weekend at the Columbia mouth. Have three fellows coming in from Colorado and need to show them a good time. Is ocean Coho still open? Is ocean Chinook still open? Is anything happening on the lower Columbia B-10 to Tongue Point? Want to show the guys a good time but need to have a plan before we leave town this afternoon.

Thanks for any help I can get.

Andy

I have heard Chinook being caught, not sure where. I have seen coho caught on incoming just out side the Skipanon. It is where all the charters are. On my way back in from the ocean on Wednesday I marked fish all the way in but I am not seeing any boats at Bouy 10. My guess is the Youngs River run is on and that is where you will see the most action. Have fun.

Some women shop, Reel women fish.

Ocean salmon is still open. However, there is a conference call of the Regulators @ 10:00 this a.m.. Things could change. We were at 78% of quota through last Sunday. If they close the season, they would likely give some notice (my speculation). So, ocean permitting, the week-end should be O.K.

Had been planning on a tuna trip for the boys but the ocean report has kind of taken care of that plan. I suppose I should take the gear just in case.....I've got a 21 ft Arima so the ocean has to be pretty flat before venturing a long way out. It'd be my first tuna trip so I want good conditions until I get some experience.
