Re: Browning hells canyon jacket
Don't care for the color for most ground work, but if you DO hunt treestands I imagine you'd want an open skyline pattern.
Hell's Canyon in Utah???? .....
Browning does have a history of making good stuff though.

Re: Browning hells canyon jacket
Spottedhawk where are you archery hunting that you need that heavy of a jacket? Most of the time elk hunting I am trying to prevent sweating maybe its just us but very seldom does it get cold enough to wear any thing other than a vest? I think layers are more important than a heavy coat? Maybe the late season but then I want water shedding more than warmth? Then again I could be all wet let us know after you try it out? Not trying to be a smart guy. I just find most of the clothes are made for tree stand guys that hunt in the later fall in the east coast.

Re: Browning hells canyon jacket
its really not that heavy of a coat, not real thick, got it more for rainy weather and some of those cold mornings we have where i hunt to wear as an outer shell. heck we have got snow the last week where i hunt LOL, anyways it will be a great outer shell for the late season. I agree most of the time i wear layers with a fleece vest to top it off but its always nice to have a decent coat because you never know what kind of weather you might get.

Re: Browning hells canyon jacket
ehunter,
The two zippers on the chest zip open and there is heavy mesh on the back side so air will flow in just looked at it. i just dont know why sitka is so dang much, you pay almost 300 dollars for hardly any material, i dont like how thin it is myself it might work great ive never used it.

That is a nice feature. Trying to keep from over heating is always a problem.
Now if they'd just do that on the pants too. I find myself hunting w/ my fly open just to loose heat.
